Before your first class

Questions are welcome.

Starting something new can feel intimidating. We make the first step straightforward and pressure-free.

Do I need martial arts experience to begin?

No. Beginners are welcome. We introduce the fundamentals at an appropriate pace and help each student build skill, fitness, and confidence over time.

How often should students train?

Students make the strongest progress when they attend their three scheduled classes each week and also stretch and practice at home.

How does the free trial week work?

Submit a trial request with the student’s age, contact information, and class interest. We will review it and contact you to confirm the most appropriate first visit.

What should I wear for a trial class?

Comfortable athletic clothing is appropriate for your first visit. Uniform information will be provided when you are ready to enroll.

What style of martial arts do you teach?

We teach Taekwondo using kicking and hand techniques, with an emphasis on discipline, conditioning, confidence, self-defense, and age-appropriate technical progression.

Do students train with traditional weapons?

Traditional weapons are introduced as an extension of the body when a student is old enough and ready. Students are generally around age 11 or 12 and must have instructor approval.

Do I have to be Christian to train here?

No. Christian Sports Center has a faith-based foundation, but students and families from every background are welcome and no one’s beliefs are forced.
